Once your bilingual driver has met you at the hotel, tour heads north on a customized journey by car with AC just minutes away. First stop takes place at Pueblito Paisa (little town), cozy replica of a typical Colombian village sitting in the center of the city which allows you to share outstanding panoramic views of the Medellin valley. There is enough free time to walk around and take the best postcard photos or use bathrooms and grab snacks at any time so is recommended to bring cash and/or Colombian pesos since not every store takes credit or debit cards. After a guided visit, our local guide will wait for you to go on to the next stop downtown to visit the barefoot park, park of lights, and the infamous Fernando Botero Plaza where 23 amazing statues of the most popular local artist reside.

Just let your guide know when you start to feel hungry so you can enjoy a tasty traditional lunch or dinner as per itinerary at one of the well-recognized local restaurants. Snacks and samples are included in price so feel free to request your guide at any time.

During the afternoon, you will visit Medellin´s most significant icons which constitute the government´s patrimony like the Old Railroad station, Carré Building, the Basilica, and Saint Ignacious of Loyola Church among others. First stop takes place at government center where the first important buildings were built such as the Carré building and the Train station which has been labeled as cultural heritage for the nation. Feel free to stop anytime and use bathrooms or purchase extra drinks while you make yourself comfortable and take pictures or ask questions to the guide. There are convenient facilities where to grab snacks at any time so is recommended to bring cash or Colombian pesos since not every store takes credit or debit cards.

As your Medellin City Services® guide leaves this area narrating the history of our founders, tour gets deep into downtown for a look at San Ignacious chapel and its majestic architecture which is now cultural heritage of the country. Continue to the oldest cathedral in Medellin which took almost 40 years for completion, a great way to understand the early days of the city. After having discovered this fascinating gem of architecture, tour heads to the marvelous San Pedro cemetery museum, another great piece of heritage that holds mausoleums for the wealthiest families in the city including former presidents, writers, and celebrities.

It has already been a pleasure to show you the historic and religious heritage of Medellin, and after approximately 8 hours of a fantastic journey, you should be already familiar with Medellin´s main foundations and gastronomy as your private driver/guide takes you back to your hotel or any other location you feel like.
